This it is a 15,000 sf. addition to an existing office building in Naperville, IL.
The addition of 15,000 sf of office area required a new parking lot and water retention system.
The fountain area is actually a dike. This was created in order to expand the building into a flood zone. The fountain area was raised to keep out 100 year floods. The fountain and stairs are flanked by two handicapped accessible ramps leading up to the fountain level and then back down to the first floor elevation.
The remainder of the addition was built into a berm with a raised foundation system to prevent flooding.
